About The Role

We have an exciting and interesting opportunity for a Legal Clerk to form part of our large Credit Management Team at our Head Offices in Caerphilly.  Here you will be responsible for managing a set of customers who unfortunately have court proceedings issued against them for non-payment of invoices.   

 

A day in the life of a Legal Clerk at phs will involve;

  • Representing phs at Court Hearings and Mediation Appointments on occasion
  • Vetting and preparing accounts for litigation
  • Liaising with Defendants who have had Legal Actions issued against them, including negotiating payment plans and settlements as required
  • Raising payments, logging and authorising invoices for the costs involved in Legal actions
  • Investigating and responding to Defences/disputes received
  • Dealing with inbound mail and e-mails from the courts and from defendants or their solicitors
  • Management of tasks on our in-house sales ledger system including opening, modifying, updating and closing them as appropriate.

The ideal candidate for a Legal Clerk at phs will be:

  • A great communicator and negotiator
  • Of strong character but with great listening skills
  • Organised with an ability to prioritise your work
  • Some Credit Management or Legal experience would be ideal but not essential.
