Washroom Stock Controller
Join our busy Operations Centre at Swindon and play a key role in keeping our teams equipped, safe and supported.
We’re looking for a full time and permanent Stock Controller to join our Swindon Operations Centre. As our Stock Controller, you’ll ensure our Operations Centre runs smoothly by managing stock, supporting fleet activities, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. Your day‑to‑day work will help our drivers, teams and customers receive an efficient and reliable service. For this role you will need to have experience with stock control systems and must hold a valid UK driving licence. A desirable requirement would be to hold a Counterbalance Forklift Licence or be willing to go through the FLT Training to join our team at the Swindon Operations Centre.
Key responsibilities as a Stock Controller at phs Group
- Maintain accurate stock levels, including uniforms, PPE and consumables.
- Issue and receive stock for driver routes and keep clear manual records.
- Conduct stock checks and support period‑end audits.
- Prepare and re‑charge first aid boxes for service.
- Keep stock areas clean, organised and correctly labelled.
- Monitor stock levels and flag replenishment needs.
- Check goods against delivery notes and support purchasing tasks when required.
- Arrange fleet servicing and carry out vehicle checks as needed.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow ISO9001/ISO14001 and Waste Transfer Station requirements.
- Work safely at all times, using correct tools, PPE and procedures.
- Report equipment defects, accidents or near‑misses promptly.
- Actively contribute to improving safety and reducing risk.

- Willingness to take on training and support wider team duties when needed.
