Rewarding our talent: Five new promotions

Rewarding our talent: Five new promotions across phs Group

phs is delighted to announce a line-up of FIVE new staff promotions across our team.

One of our key objectives is to nurture talent within the phs family as well as being passionate about developing an inclusive and diverse workplace. At the heart of our business’ success is a culture which encourages every individual to perform to the best of their ability and is supported along their journey with us.

Today we want to celebrate the achievements of five employees by announcing their well-deserved promotions. These are Natalie Morden who has been appointed into the new role of General Manager EV Infrastructure at phs Compliance and Teresa Gizzi who joins phs Wastekit as Sales Director. In the hygiene division, Farrah Hamid has been promoted to Regional Sales Manager for the East and Sophie Smith becomes Regional Sales Manager in the Midlands. In addition, Carol Marriott was promoted to Regional General Manager for the North in May.

Here's a little bit more about them:

Natalie Morden

Our first promotion comes following phs Compliance’s national expansion in electric vehicles. As the business continues to grow its electric vehicle charger installation services, Natalie has been appointed into the brand-new role of General Manager for EV Infrastructure.

Prior to this most recent promotion, Natalie worked in phs’ hygiene division for eight years as Midlands Regional Sales Manager.

Natalie comments: “This emerging market complements phs’ current suite of compliance and building engineering services, so it is an exciting opportunity for us as a business and for me personally. I was ready for a new challenge having been in role for some time and creating a consistently successful team within hygiene. I was keen to remain with phs Group as it is a fantastic company to work for. This new role offered me the perfect opportunity and I’m looking forward to leading our EV strategy and exploring the different avenues the market can offer.”

Teresa Gizzi

As the former Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the East, Teresa will be moving to phs Wastekit as the newly appointed Sales Director. Teresa was part of phs’ first Women in Leadership programme, aimed to help develop the potential women senior leaders of the future.

The six-month programme, supported by our experienced Executive Team, saw Teresa excel and her involvement alongside her incredible talent has led to her securing a new senior position in the business.

Teresa says: “I am delighted to be joining Jason Smith, Managing Director and the team at phs Wastekit. I have thoroughly enjoyed my past two-and-a-half years with the Hygiene team but am very much looking forward to learning more about this part of the business and working with the team to accelerate growth and contribute towards its continued success.”

Farrah Hamid

A very successful Field Account Manager (FAM), Farrah has been topping leader boards since she joined phs and has taken every opportunity to develop her skills including completing an

apprenticeship. Following Teresa’s move to phs Wastekit, Farrah will step up into her role as the new Regional Sales Manager for the East where we are sure she will continue to thrive.

Farrah comments: “I feel extremely lucky and grateful to have been given the opportunity to progress to the RSM role. I have spent many years working to establish myself as a successful FAM and build relationships across the organisation, enrolling in training opportunities and completing my apprenticeship to allow me to transition to the next level with confidence. I am thrilled to work with my colleagues once again, albeit in a slightly different role, and am most looking forward to continue to steer them to success and embrace all the new responsibilities that come with this position.”

Sophie Smith

As a current Telesales Account Manager at phs, Sophie has shown great strengths in her leadership skills and, as a result, has earned herself a promotion following Natalie’s move to phs Compliance. Sophie’s new role is that of Regional Sales Manager for the Midlands.

Sophie comments: “I was absolutely thrilled and excited to learn that I had been successful in my application and feel that the role is a perfect fit for me. I am most excited about meeting my team and collaborating with them and my peers to enhance sales and to provide a compelling experience along the way!”

Carol Marriott

Carol is the second of our promotions to have been part of phs’ Women in Leadership programme and was part of our very first cohort. This helped strengthen her position and skillset in preparation for her new role and, in May, Carol was promoted to a Regional General Manager for the North.

Carol says: “I was really excited to be part of the Women in Leadership team and have already seen the impact personally on my career. I want to develop my own skills in this role and help to develop and motivate others in theirs, both now and in the future.”
