Stuart Kendall

Stuart KendallSenior Resourcing Business Partner

Hi, I’m Stuart Kendall, one of the Resourcing Business Partners for phs Group. I’m delighted to be working alongside truly wonderful people within our fantastic Resourcing function. Our role is to identify and attract talented people with the right attitude and aptitude to join us.  Among my responsibilities, I partner with our specialist groups within the company such as Direct365, phs Besafe, phs Direct, phs Greenleaf, phs Teacrate and phs Wastekit. I am also honoured to supply our Head Office with the very best talent for our Customer Services teams at Caerphilly. I joined phs in December 2018, and have worked in Recruitment for more than 15 years following various roles including Customer Relations, as a Team Leader in Customer Services and as a Customer Focus Developer where I was able to look at a company from the customers perspective in order to improve customer experience.

My Top Tip would be that if you are serious about applying for a role within a company, it is vital that you research that company on their website before an interview takes place – one of the first questions many companies will ask is ‘What do you know about us’. If you have done your research you will be able to confidently talk about the company and it will be a good indication to the employer that you are genuinely interested in a career with them rather than just applying for a job.

Victoria Elvin

Victoria ElvinResourcing Coordinator

Hello! My name is Vic and I have been a Resourcing Coordinator here at phs Group since October 2022.

I have an MBA masters degree specialising in Human Resource Management, CIPD Level 5 accreditation and 10 years of practical HR and resourcing experience within both public and private sectors. My career specialism thus far has been in leadership and promotion processes, and I am thrilled to have this opportunity to broaden my skillset in my new role within phs’s operations function.

Since joining phs I have been hugely inspired by the organisational culture they have established. I can say that this is hands down the best company I have worked for when it comes to L&D provision, social engagement, family friendly policies and just fundamentally valuing their people! If you have been considering applying for a role with phs, please take the leap – you won’t regret it!

My top interview tip would be to try and be as authentic as possible. As a recruiter, I value honesty and integrity above all else as it’s a quality that is impossible to teach. Just be yourself and let us see your potential (that’s our job!) rather than trying to sell a superhuman, veneered version of yourself. It’s definitely easier said than done!
