Henry Field

Henry FieldResourcing Manager

Hi! I’m Henry Field, I’m the Resourcing Manager at phs Group. I joined the Group in September 2020. I have been working in the wonderful world of recruitment for over 7 years, with a combination of internal and agency experience behind me. Alongside managing the resourcing team, I support the businesses Diversity and Inclusion Agenda; assisting in ensuring all our colleagues feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work.

Outside of work, I’m an Inclusive Service Panel member for an energy provider ensuring vulnerable customers get the support they need during power outages. I’m currently studying my master’s Qualification in HR Management part time. When I do have downtime, I love nothing more than a good game of chess, playing fetch with my cat and watching musicals or a good horror!

My Top Tip for candidates is simple – If your interview involves competency based questions – Remember the STAR technique – There’s a lot of information on how to use this method effectively online that will help you keep your answers focused, and relevant to what you’re being asked

Elis Collins

Elis CollinsResourcing Business Partner

Hello, My name Elis I’m a Resourcing Business Partner and have worked for phs Group for over 2 years. I started in the business as a Resourcing Consultant managing the Recruitment process for phs Compliance and within a year I got promoted to a Business Partner. I now manage the recruitment for the Hygiene Sales Division, which I love as I’m more involved with interviews and supporting all newbies to make sure they have a smooth start to joining our company. There is a great sense of team spirit throughout phs Group everyone in the business is friendly and always willing to help.

My top tip for candidates is - Give yourself time! Time to prepare for interviews (revise and research), be on time (arrive 10-15 minutes early) and if you become nervous in your interview, try not to rush, think and answer the questions to the best of your ability.

Stuart Kendall

Stuart KendallResourcing Business Partner

Hi, I’m Stuart Kendall, one of the Resourcing Business Partners for phs Group. I’m delighted to be working alongside truly wonderful people within our fantastic Resourcing function. Our role is to identify and attract talented people with the right attitude and aptitude to join us.  Among my responsibilities, I partner with our specialist groups within the company such as Direct365, phs Besafe, phs Direct, phs Greenleaf, phs Teacrate and phs Wastekit. I am also honoured to supply our Head Office with the very best talent for our Customer Services teams at Caerphilly. I joined phs in December 2018, and have worked in Recruitment for more than 15 years following various roles including Customer Relations, as a Team Leader in Customer Services and as a Customer Focus Developer where I was able to look at a company from the customers perspective in order to improve customer experience.

My Top Tip would be that if you are serious about applying for a role within a company, it is vital that you research that company on their website before an interview takes place – one of the first questions many companies will ask is ‘What do you know about us’. If you have done your research you will be able to confidently talk about the company and it will be a good indication to the employer that you are genuinely interested in a career with them rather than just applying for a job.

Nicky Acreman

Nicky AcremanResourcing Business Partner

Hi, I’m Nicky Acreman and I am one of the Resourcing Business Partners in phs Group.  I have worked with the company for many years in several different departments and divisions.  I have been involved in recruitment for around 15 years and moved to the resourcing team 3 years ago.  When I left school, I trained and qualified as a pharmacy technician and only came to phs for a short time whilst I waited for a position in a local hospitals’ pharmacy to come up… needless to say, I loved phs so much… I stayed!

I used to recruit for our customer services and credit management teams at Head Office but now, although I work on lots of different roles, I mainly support our operations teams with their more senior vacancies.  I have also worked closely with Careers Wales and local schools for many years offering support with mock interviews, recruitment and in-sights into the world of work!

I have been a people manager for many years before moving to Recruitment.  I have had many opportunities at phs and gained many qualifications and experiences.  I completed my ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) several years ago, along with an NVQ Level 3 and I am now completing my CIPD Level 5 in HR.  You see, even after all these years at phs, there is still plenty of opportunity to progress and develop!!

Outside of work, probably very boring… I am a Mum of one, I have 2 very busy rescue dogs and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE interior design!

Like most businesses at this time, many of our interviews are carried out remotely via Teams, Zoom, Face Time and other magical resourcing platforms! If you are invited to attend such an interview... first and foremost... make sure your camera and microphone are both switched on and you have tested the link/access to the meeting. Then ensure you are in a quiet, well-lit and comfortable environment away from distractions, noises and interruptions. This will ensure you’re calm, relaxed and the best version of you for the interviewers!

I started with the company as Sales Support Manager, moved into a role in the Payroll team in 2016 and I’ve worked in the Resourcing team since March 2020. I completed my Foundation Degree in Payroll Management and I have also recently started studying for my CIPD Level 5 in Human Resources. My previous experience is primarily in the Financial Services sector in Management and Training roles. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, watching my son play rugby and football, watching films and listening to music.

Sarah Lee Evans

Sarah Lee EvansResourcing Coordinator

Hi! I’m Sarah Lee Evans, I’m a Resourcing Coordinator at phs. I joined the company in May 2016 as a Temp for the logistics team, I have been very fortunate to be here almost 5 years. I have had the wonderful experience of scheduling the routes for our Hygiene drivers. I knew that my strength was talking and engaging with people and knew that I made the correct decision to go into recruitment. During my time in Recruitment I have been able study for my NVQ L3 in Business Admin.

I currently have the pleasure of recruiting for phs Compliance, this could be recruiting for engineers, ranging from Electrical and Gas to Portable Appliance Testers whilst also recruiting for other roles within the phs Compliance.

Outside of work, I am single mum of one, who has just turned 18! I love to socialise and spent time with friends and most importantly, my family.

My Top Tip for candidates would be, make sure that your CV is always up to date with qualifications relevant to your role, and the one you’re applying for. It’s ok if it’s a long list – In the world of compliance, it’s understandable.
