About The Role

Business Development Manager – Ireland

phs Hygiene

This is a great opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join phs Hygiene, one of the UK and Ireland’s leading providers of washroom hygiene and workplace hygiene services.

 You will be responsible for managing and developing customer relationships within existing client accounts through a structured contact plan, ensuring profitable and long‑term partnerships. You will focus on retaining and growing accounts by promoting the full phs Hygiene service and product offering. In addition, you will build a robust new business pipeline and secure new account wins to support regional growth across Ireland.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control the profit margin of each customer, implementing plans to improve or stabilise profitability throughout the client lifecycle
• Provide a dedicated point of contact, owning the customer relationship through strong account knowledge
• Produce and collate agreed sales forecasts
• Identify new opportunities and generate new business by engaging key decision-makers within existing client organisations
• Develop and maintain a strong new business pipeline, proactively prospecting to secure new accounts across Ireland
• Grow account value by cross‑selling the full range of phs Hygiene services and products

 

Competencies Required:

• Proven experience in both business development and account management
• Strong B2B sector knowledge, ideally within hygiene, facilities, services, or a related industry
• Experience managing value‑driven sales and margin‑focused targets
• Ability to develop effective relationships at senior levels within client organisations
• Significant experience in a similar industry or service‑led environment
• Strong skills in needs analysis, solution positioning, business justification, and closing
• High levels of energy, drive, and enthusiasm to exceed expectations in a target‑driven environment
• A dynamic, tenacious, and personable approach
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Experience in service development and formal proposal writing
